Opening Identiteiteinkabinet — Duo Exhibition

I’m pleased to share that my new exhibition Identiteiteinkabinet opened on April 18, 2026, as part of a duo presentation.

In this exhibition, I present a new body of work that continues my exploration of identity, focusing on the parts that remain hidden, fragmented or unresolved. Through a combination of paintings and installations, I transform bodies, faces and found objects into images that hover between recognition and distortion.

Central to Identiteiteinkabinet is the idea of containment—both physical and psychological. Objects such as cabinets, cages and enclosed structures recur throughout the exhibition, acting as carriers of tension and suggesting states of confinement, introspection and inner conflict. At the same time, the work leaves space for ambiguity: forms are never fully fixed, meanings remain open, and each piece invites multiple readings.

The exhibition brings my work into dialogue with that of another artist, creating a layered viewing experience in which different approaches and sensibilities meet and contrast.

Identiteiteinkabinet marks an important step in the development of my practice, bringing together painting and installation in a more integrated way.
